Bi-2

Description

The Bi-2 group was founded in 1988 in Bobruisk. They are an alternative rock band. The irreplaceable members of the group are Shura Bi-2 (lead guitar, vocals) and Leva Bi-2 (lead vocals, guitar, percussion). The team also includes Andrey Zvonkov (guitars), Max Lakmus (bass guitar), Boris Lifshitz (drums, percussion) and Yan Nikolenko (backing vocals, keyboards, flute, percussion). Currently, the group "Bi-2" has completed work on its tenth studio album, called "Event Horizon".

Bi-2 collaborate with a symphony orchestra led by Honored Artist of Russia Felix Aranovsky. Collaboration with arrangers Gennady Kornilov and Sergei Gavrilov created a unique art that incorporates elements of two genres. Starting as a one-time experiment in 2003, the project became a full-fledged concert program and was performed at the best concert venues in Russia, the CIS and the Baltic countries. The collaboration between “Bi-2” and the orchestra is not limited to stage performance: in 2010, a studio recording “Bi-2 and the Symphony Orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. 2 CD” was released, including 25 concert versions of songs. In 2013, a second symphony album appeared, recorded together with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, and in 2016, “Bi-2 & Prague Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra” was released on vinyl. On March 17, 2017, a new album with the Prague Orchestra was released - "Bi-2 & Prague Metropolitan Symphonic Orchestra. VOL 2".

The group "Bi-2" was awarded a number of awards, including "Group of the Year" according to the Chart Dozen in 2015, "Rock of the Year" according to the Real MusicBox Award in 2015, "Chart Leaders" according to the Major League in 2016 for the song “Compromise”, “Soloist of the Year” according to the Chart Dozen Award in 2017 (Leva Bi-2), “Best Video” according to the Chart Dozen Award in 2017 for “Bird on the Windowsill” and “Rock of the Year” "according to the Real MusicBox Award in 2017. They were also named "Best Rock Band" at the Russian National Music Awards in 2017.
